Qualifications: BVSc QDAH

Dr  Alan “Guillie” has dedicated his professional life to the Clermont Vet Surgery and its clients.  He is equally passionate about all aspects of veterinary science and is a widely respected and well known advocate for animal health.  It’s no wonder he was recognised by the Australian Cattle Vets Association as their Bovine Practitioner of the Year for 2014. If he is not in the clinic you can find Guillie tending to the “flock on the block”, his little piece of Central Queensland paradise and home to his prized steers and bullocks. In addition to his other accomplishments, Guillie is a marriage celebrant, a lay minister, community representative, former representative of Queensland Racing, musician, actor, educator, philosopher, devoted husband, loving father of 4 and an absolutely adored grandfather of 6.

Dr Tess always knew she wanted to be a vet – it was what she was bred to do! Tess married a local boy John Salmond in 2012 and they split their time between Mt McConnel and Clermont Vet Surgery. Tess and John bought into the clinic in 2014 and are now partners with Tess’s father Guillie. John and Tess welcomed their daughter Alana Merle into the world in 2015 and she is often seen tearing around the vet surgery Tess's two other loves of her life – her cavalier king charles spaniel "Izzy"and her thoroughbred gelding “Moose”. On her days off, Tess can be found helping out at Mt McConnel or at a campdraft with John.
